Paycheck Protection Program (PPP)
The second round of PPP is available to those who received the first PPP loan as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) which passed in late December 2020. The maximum amount of the second loan is 2.5 times your average monthly payroll costs or 3.5 times your payroll costs if the business is a food service or lodging business. There are stricter rules for the second loan including a 25% drop in gross receipts between comparable quarters in 2019 and 2020.
If you did not receive a first PPP loan, funding is still available.
You will need to contact your bank to apply for the loan.
Expanded Employee retention credits are also available as part of the CAA.
In order to find out about your refund, you will need to check the IRS website at IRS.gov.
If you did not receive a stimulus check during the first round, you will be able to claim it on your 2020 income tax return. You will receive credit for the amount you should have received.
There is a box on the first page: Get My Payment you need to click on this and follow the prompts and answer some security questions.
