Ron Olsen, MBA, CPA – Shareholder

Ron joined with Bob Strang in 2000 after retiring from the US Navy with the rank of Commander.  Ron received his Bachelors of Science degree from California State University, Sacramento and his MBA degree from Michigan State University.  He is very active in the Punta Gorda community having served on numerous non-profit boards including Chairman of the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce.  He currently serves on the boards of the Charlotte Community Foundation, the Visual Arts Center Endowment Trust, the Peace River Botanical Gardens and the Military Officers Association of America.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Charlotte County Estate Planning Council.

Brenda Lynch, CPA – Shareholder

Brenda joined the firm in 2003.  Prior, she spent many years in private industry accounting, working as corporate controller.  She received her Bachelors of Science degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  Brenda is very active in the Punta Gorda community having served on many non-profit boards such as TEAM Punta Gorda, New Operation Cooper Street and Business and Professional Women of Charlotte County.  She is past Chairman of the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce.  She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Charlotte County Estate Planning Council, and a graduate of Leadership Charlotte class of 2009.  Brenda is a recognized professional for business and individual accounting and tax planning matters.  She oversees all accounting functions in the office.

Jessica Cox - CPA (Michigan)

Jessica joined the firm in 2021.  She graduated from University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China, with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.  It provides the equivalent graduating experience to qualifying entrants from China and other countries.  She has extensive experience with corporate accounting, internal auditing, and acquisitions.  In the last three years since she decided to move to the U.S., Jessica has been doing tax consulting and training.

Janelle Scribner – Office Manager

Janelle has been with the firm since 2007.  She came to Charlotte County from Virginia where she worked 3 years as an Administrative Assistant for a CPA firm.  Janelle started as the firms receptionist and was promoted to office manager in 2015.  She makes sure that the office is organized and that work flows through the office in the most efficient way possible.

Liz Mullens – Sr. Accountant

Liz joined the firm in 2015.  She graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.  She will soon be returning to school to finish courses needed to obtain her CPA license.  Liz is a true Florida native, and grew up in Charlotte County.  Liz assists clients with their accounting needs and has achieved QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor status along with being trained in several other accounting software systems.

Joe Harter – Accountant

Joe joined the firm in 2021.  He is originally from Northeastern Wisconsin and moved to North Port, Florida in 2011.  Joe attended Nicolet College and Northeastern Wisconsin Technical College in Wisconsin.  He brings a wealth of extensive experience as a corporate vice-president, controller, general accountant and industrial cost accountant.  Joe is a Six Sigma Green Belt which supports a focus on controls, organization, and problem solving.

Madison Wilson – Accountant

Madison joined the firm in 2020.  She has recently graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  She will start working towards becoming a CPA, taking the required courses in order to obtain her license.  Madison was born and raised in Connecticut, and moved to Port Charlotte in 2014.  Madison is always ready to assist clients with their questions and accounting needs.

Lyn Gerry – Administrative Assistant

Lyn Gerry started as the firm’s receptionist in 2015 and was promoted to Administrative Assistant in 2021.  Lyn is originally from New Hampshire where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Southern NH University.  Working behind the scenes, she makes sure all work flows through the office efficiently by keeping all the manual and electronic file systems, assembling reports and tax returns and serving other customer needs.

Erin Petersen– Front Office Receptionist

Erin joined the firm in 2021.  She is originally from Minnesota, and she is the first smiling face you see when coming through the door.  She is here to help you with your needs as best as possible.  Give us a call, Erin will make sure your questions are answered.
